At a time when we should be resenting the loss of hours of sunshine, I still bask in it, though for fewer hours.
At a time when new beginnings are signaled through familiar rituals like "back to school," I am more inclined to want to play hookey.
I've finished so many lists in the last two months that I feel like resting on my laurels until I go back on the road again later this month.
But I know this resting phase and the self-reflection that goes with it won't last that long.
I should be back in the saddle later this afternoon.
