Green Lake is near enough to home that it makes the easiest weekend walk. It's 2.8 miles round. Both Saturday and Sunday, I walked fairly early and marveled at the canopies of flowering trees, the daffodils providing extra splendor. Plantings of trees and greens near the water make an expressionist painting.
As we begin this week, I have raised about $2,400 on the site, with another $2,000 or so of matching gifts still to arrive.
