“All of old. Nothing else ever. Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.” -- Samuel Beckett

Book Launch Party, 2011

Usually my mind will follow instructions, working off waves of energy or enthusiasm that I generate, but I've had a hard time recently.  I'm trying to catch up and also finish too many projects.

I had thought to finish revisions of the risk detective book this week, during spring break.  I'm done with most of the changes, but stuck on the new chapter, "At School."  I am struggling to tell stories rather than sound prescriptive or paranoid over risks that present themselves once your child starts school.  Lots of rewrites as I mull the best stories to tell to make the point(s).

Of asphodel, that greeny flower, I come, my sweet, to sing to you! My heart rouses thinking to bring you news of something that concerns you and concerns many men. Look at what passes for the new. You will not find it there but in despised poems. It is difficult to get the news from poems yet men die miserably every day for lack of what is found there. Hear me out for I too am concerned and every man who wants to die at peace in his bed besides. - See more at: http://www.poets.org/viewmedia.php/prmMID/15541#sthash.SQ23lBEg.dpuf
